The Purpose
Independently, or in support of the team, assess and advise on the replacement and reproduction cost, market value, insurance and forced-sale values of business assets, heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment — for purposes including loan security, financial reporting, M&A and insurance.
Key Responsibilities

Value business assets, heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment per International Valuation Standards (RICS / IVS)

Review and contribute to the preparation of proposals

Carry out physical site inspections, client interviews, desktop modelling, market analysis and research

Aggregate, analyse, interpret and report data

Liaise closely with clients to deliver consistent, high-quality advice

Provide clients with robust, well-considered valuations

Skills & Experience

3+ years appraising machinery and equipment at a professional-services firm

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering

Chartered Surveyor (MRICS, AssocRICS) and Registered Valuer status, or ASA member

Proven experience as an evaluator / appraiser for industrial equipment and machinery
